The Malayinkeezhu Sree Krishna Swamy Temple is a revered Hindu temple located in Malayinkeezhu, approximately 15 kilometers east of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Situated in the valley between the Mankunnimala and Ellumalai hills, the temple is part of the Neyyattinkara Group under the Travancore Devaswom Board.

The principal deity worshipped here is Lord Krishna, revered in his divine form. The temple complex also houses sub-shrines for deities such as Shiva, Ganapathy, Sastha, Brahmarakshas, and Nagam. Notably, the shrine dedicated to Sastha is unique as it lacks a roof.

📜 Legend and History (ഐതിഹ്യം)
According to legend, Vilwamangalath Swamiyaar, a devout follower of Lord Vishnu, received a divine revelation that an idol of Lord Krishna, once worshipped by Sathyaki in Dwaraka, was submerged in a river. Following this vision, he retrieved the idol and consecrated it at this location, establishing the temple.
പ്രശസ്തനായ ഭക്തൻ വിൽവമംഗലത്ത് സ്വാമിയാർ ഒരു ദിവ്യദർശനം ലഭിച്ചപ്പോൾ, ദ്വാരകയിൽ സത്യകി ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്ന കൃഷ്ണ വിഗ്രഹം ഒരു നദിയിൽ മുങ്ങിപ്പോയതായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. പിന്നീട് അദ്ദേഹം ആ വിഗ്രഹം നേടുകയും മലയിൻകീഴിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം.

The temple is renowned for its vibrant annual Arattu festival, an eight-day celebration culminating on the Thiruvonam star in the Malayalam month of Meenam (March–April). Key rituals include:
- Kodiyettam: Flag hoisting at night.
- Utsava Bali: Performed on the third and fifth days.
- Thiruvabharanam Charthu: Adorning the deity on the fifth day.
- Pallivetta: Symbolic royal hunt on the seventh day.
- Arattu: Holy bath procession on the final day, where the deity is taken atop an elephant to a nearby river.
ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആകർഷണമാണ് ആണ്ടുതിരുനാൾ (അറാട്ട് ഉത്സവം) — മാർച്ച്–ഏപ്രിൽ മാസങ്ങളിലായി, മീനം മാസത്തിലെ തിരുവോണം നാളിലാണ് അവസാന ദിനം. പ്രധാന ചടങ്ങുകൾ:
