Madavoor Rock View Point, also known as Madavoorpara, is a serene hilltop destination in Kaattayikonam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Located 300-1800 feet above sea level, it’s famous for its 9th-century rock-cut Shiva Temple, 100-meter bamboo bridge, and breathtaking views of Thiruvananthapuram city and the Arabian Sea. Opened to visitors in 2016, it’s a perfect spot for sunset and nature lovers.
മഡവൂർ റോക്ക് വ്യൂ പോയിന്റ്, മഡവൂർപാറ എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു, തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ കാട്ടായിക്കോണത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ശാന്തമായ കുന്നിൻ മുകളിലെ ലക്ഷ്യസ്ഥാനമാണ്. കടൽനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് 300-1800 അടി ഉയരത്തിൽ, 9-ാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ പാറയിൽ കൊത്തിയ ശിവക്ഷേത്രം, 100 മീറ്റർ നീളമുള്ള മുളങ്കൂടാര പാലം, തിരുവനന്തപുരം നഗരത്തിന്റെയും അറേബ്യൻ കടലിന്റെയും മനോഹരമായ കാഴ്ചകൾ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് ഇത് പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. 2016-ൽ സന്ദർശകർക്കായി തുറന്നത്, സൂര്യാസ്തമയവും പ്രകൃതി സ്നേഹികൾക്കും അനുയോജ്യമാണ്.

Madavoorpara is 10-26 km from Thiruvananthapuram city, accessible via Sreekariyam-Pothencode Rd or NH 66. The nearest railway station is Thiruvananthapuram Central (16-17 km), and Trivandrum International Airport is 18-20 km away. Open 9:30 AM–6:30 PM, closed Mondays, no entry fee, but ID registration required. Best October–March for pleasant weather. Bring water, snacks; limited parking.
